Recreation Scholarships are available to Kirkland residents. Scholarship applications can be submitted at any time during the year, with limited enrollment beginning on Tuesday, April 27, 2021.
NEW FOR 2021: To provide greater benefit, scholarship limits have been increased to $450 per Kirkland resident per year and may be used for multiple programs throughout the year.

Gnome Sweet Home All Ages
Join us for a gnome home building contest! During the month of May gather your friends and family together and construct a gnome home, for fun, comradery, and prizes.
The kick off for this month long event will be Saturday, May 1st!
Join us from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM at the North Kirkland Community Center for the opportunity to select from organic materials the Parks staff has gathered to get you going on your build.

Eye Spy Nature Hunt Ages 3-8
Eye Spy Nature Hunt is a self-directed nature exploration. Take a walk in a park of your choice and look for the critters on the nature bingo card.
Cards are available to download upon registration.
Bring your completed card and your stories to the North Kirkland Community Center on May 12, from 10AM to 3PM to receive a gift bag for participating.

Golf Instruction - Ages 18+
Learn to play golf in the comfortable atmosphere of the Redwood Golf Center in Woodinville. A PGA instructor teaches group lessons. Learn basic golf, grip stance, swing, rules and etiquette. By the end of this 4-part series you will be able to play on the golf course. Bring your own clubs or try the Golf Center’s demo clubs.

Ballet with Marco Carrabba at Peter Kirk Community Center
Marco Carrabba, Ballet Master / Choreographer-Carrabba Dance Theatre has a 20 year distinguished professional dance career and over 18 years’ experience teaching and choreographing ballets for students of all levels, as well as an extensive theater background. Dance companies include PNB, San Francisco, Boston, Stuttgart and Hamburg Ballet.
Ballet Basics - Ages 18+
Have you always wanted to take a ballet class but something got in the way? Now that you have the time, do you feel like you’re too old and it’s too late? Here’s the good news, it’s never too late to learn ballet! No reason to be intimidated! This adult basic ballet class offers something for everyone from young adult to seniors and provides a fun way to tone and tighten your body while learning the fundamental techniques in a positive and supportive environment. Ballet develops balance, coordination, strength, stamina, self-confidence and body-centered awareness. This class is for those with little or no dance training but who want to embrace one of the most beautiful and graceful of all dance styles.

Junior Summer Day Camp - Ages 5-8
Junior Summer Day Camp is designed to meet the needs of the younger new camper. Located at the North Kirkland Community Center, campers will have access to all the indoor and outdoor features of the center. Campers will enjoy exciting camp activities, which include arts, sciences, sports, games, wacky special events, and guest visitors and entertainers. On hot days we will cool off with fun, water drenching activities.

Kirkland’s longest running day camp is back and more fun than ever! Campers will enjoy arts, science, sports, games, weekly in-house guests or field trips to fun destinations and wacky special events led by trained staff. On a daily basis campers will explore Kirkland’s many versatile parks and enjoy outdoor adventures. During our hot days, campers will cool off with visits to the beach and Kirkland’s outdoor swimming pool multiple times EVERY week. Our summer camp will help your child forge friendships and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Single & Double Occupant Guided Kayak Tour and Lesson - Ages 12+
Northwest Paddle Surfers experienced staff provides a 90 minute guided kayak excursion in beautiful Juanita Bay during which kayakers will explore amazing wildlife and scenery! Session includes safety and operation instruction lesson for safe and easy sit-on-top kayaking. This is a great activity for individuals, friends, and families!

Which tips and tricks will save me time and make it easier for me to use my computer? Happy Seeds Virtual Family Yoga - Ages 2-8 with Parent
This class is part of our Growing Mindset Series aimed to children ages 2-8 yrs old and their grown ups. Every week we will have a new theme focusing on recognizing emotions, fun strategies to express and manage emotions, and how to embrace challenges to grow our mindset and build on resilience skills. All of these using music, Spanish, laughing and using our imagination. Captain Nick is following in the footsteps of the Greek Hero Hercules to see if he can complete his 12 labours! However, he needs your help. Rent the Pool!
Reserve the Peter Kirk Pool for your own private swim party!
Lifeguards, pool toys, and party deck space included. Rentals must be reserved at least 14 days in advance.
Pool rentals are available on Saturdays (June 26 - August 28) from 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM.
Pool rental fees are $300.00 for 1.5 hours (4:30 PM - 6:00 PM).
