Recycling Event this Saturday October 8 – Recycle some items that aren’t accepted in your weekly collection service. Clear bulky stuff out of your garage and safely dispose of hazardous materials. Event details, including a list of all accepted items and fees.

INKtober Tumbler Giveaway - In honor of INKtober, a month-long drawing challenge, we’re trading reusable tumblers for art this October. Draw a picture of something related to the environment, post it on our Kirkland Conserves facebook page, and you can pick up one of our new BPA-free, insulated, made in the US, locally purchased tumblers at City Hall!

Keep Fallen Leaves Out of the Street - Now that autumn is here, the leaves are changing color and falling from the trees. These leaves can block rainwater from flowing into storm drains and often cause localized flooding. Adopt a Storm Drain and help keep leaves out of the street.
Salmon SEEson - Fall is here, and that means that salmon around the Puget Sound are making the journey to area streams and rivers to spawn. Check out the salmon-spotting opportunities in our area!
