Creme Tangerine returns to the KPC stage to perform The Beatles’ masterpiece “The White Album.” For over a decade Creme Tangerine has been thrilling audiences in the Pacific Northwest with its unique approach to performing the music of the Beatles and favorite classic rock/pop hits.

La Dentro da Mata

Lá Dentro da Mata is based on the book with the same name, written by Brazilian author Pablo Maurutto. You will join Poti (an indigenous boy), Airy (a silly monkey) and their new friend Jururu (an obsolete robot) in a fun adventure deep inside the Amazon. Meet the animals, dance the different and contagious rhythms from Brazil with them! Learn about the Brazilian folklore and traditions! This is a beautiful story about friendship, cooperation and caring! The play is 90% performed in Brazilian Portuguese by native artists, however very easy for anyone who doesn't speak Portuguese to follow the story.

The Kingston Trio

The Kingston Trio is one of the few groups today that has survived the many changes in the world of music. They have remained consistent in their sound, which probably explains their resurgence in popularity over the last few years. The trio’s trademark three-part harmony and clean, crisp sound keeps them touring 30 weeks out of the year. As Bob Shane put it, “There is a tremendous demand for our type of acoustic music, and not just from those who remember the Kingston Trio. All people want is for us to sing a song, tell a story, and make it good.”

Join Master Chorus Eastside in a rousing exploration of spirituals, gospel, and music of the theater, with theatrical expert and gospel soloist Kevin Douglass. Master Chorus Eastside (formerly the Issaquah Chorale) began in 1991 as a small, nonauditioned ensemble, and has since grown into a polished, fully auditioned chorus and one of the premiere arts organizations on the Eastside.

The Kirkland Arts Center Artists’ Exhibition is an annual show in the Kirkland Arts Center Gallery that showcases work from our talented community of artists in a variety of media. This year's exhibition is juried by Frederick Holmes of Frederick Holmes and Company Gallery in Seattle. The 34 pieces of artwork selected for this year’s show feature everything from contemporary photography to figurative sculpture to abstract encaustics.

Parklane Gallery International Miniature Show

Parklane Gallery is hosting its 24th Annual International Miniature Show featuring fine art miniatures from artists around the world. With a long history dating back to the 7th century, creating miniature art is exacting work with strict guidelines for size and execution. Using standards established by the Miniature Artists of America organization, these tiny treasures offer a visual feast that is intricate and breathtaking. This free, juried exhibit opens on Tuesday, May 3, and runs through Sunday, June 5. The public is also invited to attend the gala artists’ reception from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 13. Parklane Gallery is open daily except Monday. Hours are 11 to 7 and on Friday, noon until 8.

Kirkland Performance Center hosts a free open house event on May 3rd, 2016 at 4:30pm to celebrate GiveBIG, the Seattle Foundation’s annual day of giving. Enjoy free live performances by KPC’s partner organizations including Jet City Improv, Studio East, and Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra. Get to know the KPC staff, enjoy refreshments in the lobby, and learn about GiveBIG, KPC, and our partner organizations. This FREE evening of entertainment, fun, and giving is open to the public.

GiveBIG is a one-day, online charitable giving event designed to raise money for our region's hard-working nonprofits - gets bigger and helps more organizations each year. All day on May 3rd you can donate to your favorite Kirkland non-profit through Seattle Foundation’s GiveBIG portal.
