Save the Date: Disability Pride Flag Raising Ceremony

Join colleagues across King County in celebrating Disability Pride Month at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7!

Employees are invited to join King County Executive Zahilay, the King County Disability Equity Network, and community members for King County's Disability Pride Flag Raising Ceremony. All interested employees are welcome to attend with supervisor approval. Participation is completely optional.

The event will include light refreshments and remarks from employees and community members honoring the resilience, leadership, advocacy, and contributions of people with disabilities as we celebrate Disability Pride Month and commemorate the 36th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The public entrance to the courtyard off James Street is on a very steep hill. The accessible courtyard entrance can be accessed through the 2nd floor of the Administration Building. There will be an alternative route using King County tunnels to accommodate people with mobility needs with clear signage. There will be clear signs at the Accessible entrances located at: Chinook Building, the King County Courthouse, and the Administration Building entrance on 4th Ave. If you have accessibility concerns please reach out to KCADA@kingcounty.gov or call 206-604-6479.
