Pet of the Week: Nora

I am a two-year-old, female cat, domestic shorthair, brown Tabby color, ID #A714887. While I can still be hissy at first, I am slowly letting my guard down. Once I warm up to you I will happily accept chin scratches...they are my favorite.

Due to my shy nature, I would do best in a calm, quite home without younger children, as fast movements and loud noises startle me. When I go to my new home, it is important to be patient with me and allow me to acclimate to my new environment at my own pace. It is best to keep me in a smaller, quiet room with my food, bed and litterbox until I am comfortable and confident enough to start exploring the rest of my home. I am a gentle and loving cat who likes to take things slow. I may get nervous in new situations, so I am looking for a family who understands that I might need some time to warm up. Once I get to know you, I will be a very devoted friend!

As Pet of the Week, my adoption fee has been reduced. You can find out more about me and my other friends on our website at www.kingcounty.gov/adoptapet. If you have more questions, you can contact RASKC via phone at 206-296-7387 (PETS) or email pets@kingcounty.gov.
