The Career & Culture Division's Learning & Development team wants to hear from you! We invite you to join our pool of course pilot testers to ensure our instructor led workshops and eLearnings are the very best that they can be while actively contribute to our goal of making King County a welcoming community where every person can thrive.
By becoming a pilot tester you will be given access to workshops and eLearnings in development, including draft curriculum, as well as their activities and engagements, and will be asked to:
- Attend and participate in pilot workshops in their entirety and to their full extent
- Provide feedback on workshop curriculum, design, learning goals, activities, and in-workshop engagements from your own lens and speaking from your own experience
Participating in the pilot process is a great professional development opportunity that will provide you with the chance to have a positive impact on the county's workforce by collaborating with the L&D Team to provide your thoughts, ideas, and experiences applicable to each topic area. In addition, all pilot program participants will receive credit for the pilot courses they attend in their NEOGOV Course Transcript, including time allocated to providing feedback.

Setting Team Goals
Create a great workplace through team goals to get everyone flying in the same direction – and to create hope for a bright, inclusive new year. Lessons from Geese is a fun 2 minute eLearning video showing one of nature’s best examples of shared direction and support. Team goals are a terrific way to involve and support each person to see the part that they will play. Some benefits: increases engagement, encourages ownership, and creates opportunities for collaboration. Answering “why” the work is important ensures alignment with the County and department objectives. Learn more in this article about supporting and setting team goals. Individual goals will naturally feed into team goals – work together so team members have an opportunity to weigh in on them and how to get there. Celebrate progress along the way!
