On June 30, 2021 King County Executive Dow Constantine announced updated mask requirements for Executive Branch employees.
Verified proof of vaccination and work location determine if an employee must wear a mask while working and under what circumstances.

It's 'Water Taxi Summer'

The Water Taxi is operating on summer sailing season, with seven-days-a-week service to and from West Seattle, including mid-day sailings, and Friday and Saturday night service.
Hop aboard and enjoy a 15-minute ride across Elliott Bay while enjoying panoramic views of the Seattle city skyline, Mount Rainier, and the Olympics. You can walk to the Mariners game or the Sounders match, or if you’re landing at Alki, you can take the free shuttle to the West Seattle Junction.

July is National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month
Established in 2008, Minority Mental Health Awareness month was created to bring awareness to the unique mental health struggles that underrepresented groups in the U.S. experience.
This month, Balanced You will be focusing on Mental Health America’s theme Strength in Communities. We will highlight a wide range of stories, resources and events including mental health support systems created by BIPOC ((Black, Indigenous, People of Color) and Queer and Trans BIPOC (QTBIPOC) communities.
Traditional systems of care in the US may overlook experiences of BIPOC, LGBTQ+, disabled folks, and religious minorities.
