Calling all Ballard neighbors and transit riders! Join me and other local leaders at the National Nordic Museum THIS coming Monday, October 19 from 6 PM to 8 PM for a community meeting to discuss the future of light rail to Ballard.
This is an opportunity for you to get an update on the project from key leaders and to bring forward comments and concerns. Your input is important. Let’s continue the conversation and advocacy to get light rail to Ballard.
Thank you to City of Seattle Councilmember, and Sound Transit Board Member, Dan Strauss and his team for organizing!
See you there! 🚈

New Ballot Drop Boxes in District 4
I am thrilled to share that King County Elections recently installed TWO new ballot drop boxes in District 4 just in time for the General Election that is already underway.
The deadline to return your ballot to a drop box is Tuesday, November 3 at 8 PM. The two new drop boxes are open right now and are located in:
-
Belltown – 2208 4th Ave. (between Bell and Blanchard Streets)
-
Phinney Ridge – on the corner of N. 62nd Street and Phinney Ave. N
Pictured with King County Elections Director Julie Wise.
I am proud that District 4 has been home to the most heavily used ballot drop box in the county (at the Ballard Branch Library) for a few elections in a row. Please help us keep that streak going and make sure District 4 is #1 again!
I also encourage you to sign up for the tools offered by King County Elections to stay updated on your ballot, including text notifications to track your ballot’s status from when it’s mailed through verification and being counted.
Exercise your right to vote, encourage those closest to you to return their ballots, and vote early! Using a drop box to return your ballot is the fastest way to get it to King County Elections headquarters for counting!
With gratitude,
 Jorge
