Committee Briefing – Wednesday, October 21
The Council's Local Services and Land Use Committee will hold a briefing on the proposed 2026 Comprehensive Plan Annual Update Wednesday, October 21, beginning at 9:30 a.m. The meeting will be in a hybrid format; public comments may be submitted in writing, in person in the Council Chambers on the 10th Floor of the King County Courthouse, at 516 3rd Ave, Seattle, WA, or through the Zoom webinar. Information on how to participate in Committee meetings is available on the Committee website.
The 2026 Comprehensive Plan Annual Update is item 8 on the Committee agenda, and is listed for discussion and possible action. If the committee takes action, the legislation will be forwarded to the full King County Council for a public hearing following a 30-day public hearing notice.
A written staff report is available on the 2026 Comprehensive Plan website in the "Review Materials" section, as well as an amendment to establish an effective date and an associated title amendment.
Public Comment Opportunities
Written comments on the proposed plan are welcome at any time during the Council’s review. Comments can be submitted electronically by emailing CouncilCompPlan@kingcounty.gov. The Council looks forward to your involvement in the review of the proposed 2026 Comprehensive Plan update.
