Beginning Monday, June 22 the Bow Lake Recycling and Transfer Station will begin construction work to update the recycling collection area of the facility. To allow for recycling drop off during that time, the project will be split into two phases with some collection containers moving to new areas to allow room for construction equipment.
Full construction is estimated to be complete in January 2027.
Yard waste and clean wood
- Yard waste collection will move to the clean wood collection area.
- Clean wood collection will move inside the transfer station building.
Scrap metal and non-CFC appliances
- Scrap metal and non-CFC appliance collection will continue in the recycling area but bins will move throughout the area during the construction period. Look for signage identifying the new collection points.
Lightbulbs and fluorescent lights
- Collection bins will move inside the facility and be located near the Sharps collection station.
CFC appliances
- CFC appliance collection will remain in the recycling area.
Beginning June 26, Evergreen Goodwill will no longer offer textile donation drop-off at the Bow Lake, Vashon, Cedar Falls and Enumclaw transfer stations. Additional drop off locations for this vendor can be found at https://evergreengoodwill.org/donate-goods.
