The 2026 FIFA World Cup begins tomorrow, bringing visitors from around the world to our region. Here's what South King County residents should know about transportation, local events, and ways to participate close to home.
World Cup Match Schedule & Travel Planning
Seattle will host six FIFA World Cup matches at Lumen Field on:
June 15 — 12:00 PM | June 19 — 12:00 PM June 24 — 12:00 PM | June 26 — 8:00 PM July 1 — 1:00 PM | July 6 — 5:00 PM
Residents should expect heavier traffic, busier transit stations, and increased activity throughout the region on match days, particularly near Sea-Tac Airport, Link light rail stations, and downtown Seattle. If you are traveling to the airport, commuting into Seattle, or attending major events, consider allowing extra travel time.
