 Final paving planned on 97th Ave Southeast as early as May 5

Expect single lane alternating traffic and driveway impacts 

Final Paving Impact and  Temporary Closures  Once grinding is complete, crews will pave the road. Paving requires three to four hours to cure. This work is anticipated to be completed in two days.   During paving, crews may need to temporarily close the road and redirect traffic around the area. Work will start on one side of the road and shift to the other side. Once paving begins, crews cannot stop or allow cars to drive on the newly paved roadway. Driveway access will be inaccessible for three to four hours while paving and curing.

What to expect:

• This work is weather-dependent and may be rescheduled. 
• Approved work hours are 7 am to 7 pm Monday to Saturday.
• All work will be performed in the public right-of-way.
• Noise, dust, and vibrations typical of an active construction project.
  • Grinding will create additional noise and vibrations.
• Flaggers and single-lane alternating traffic during work hours. 
• Emergency vehicle access will be maintained.
• Garbage, recycling, composting, and mail service will be maintained.
