Each year, public agencies, non-profits, private businesses, healthcare organizations, and community members come together for four days to provide for the immediate healthcare needs of thousands of King County residents. From Thursday, April 23 to Sunday, April 26, Seattle Center will again host the annual Seattle/King County Clinic, the largest free healthcare clinic of its kind in the United States. They offer free dental, vision, and medical care to people from all backgrounds who struggle to access or afford services.
Patients do not need any form of documentation or proof of income, insurance, or immigration status to receive care. You can get everything from dental cleanings and fillings to prescription glasses to primary and behavioral health services to access to social workers who can connect you with additional resources.
Some important details:
- No advance registration or appointments are available
- Starting at 5:30 AM, a limited number of admission tickets are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis (one ticket per person)
- Tickets are distributed in Fisher Pavilion at Seattle Center (200 Thomas Street, Seattle)
- Patients may attend the clinic for multiple days, but must go through the ticket process each day
A 2020 documentary, “Stronger Than Medicine”, tells the story of how the Clinic was founded and highlights interviews with the volunteer leadership team, patients, and others about the importance of access to care. Watch the documentary of this essential annual event to improve the health of King County community members.

4Culture is King County’s cultural funding agency, providing support for local arts, heritage, historic preservation, public art, and science and technology. In the coming weeks, they will hold in-person and virtual workshops to answer questions about grants, assist with your applications, and connect you with other applicants. In addition, their grant manager will hold informal office hours to answer any questions you have before upcoming grant deadlines. This is a great opportunity for local artists and organizations to learn more and make sure your application is as strong as possible!
