Newman's Own Foundation: Food Justice for Kids Prize
The Prize will award grants up to $100K each, over 2 years, to as many as 14 nonprofits, Tribes, schools, and school districts in the United States and its territories working to ensure all children can access, learn about, and engage with nutritious, culturally relevant food at school and in communities.

National Forest Foundation: Collaborative Capacity Program for Forests & Communities
Collaborative Capacity Program (CCP) financial awards invest in collaborative activities that support wildfire resilience, recreation opportunities, land & watershed restoration, and rural economies. This year’s program funds projects that prioritize shared decision-making and bring together multiple perspectives to co-create solutions for forest stewardship or increase Tribal co-stewardship of our National Forests and Grasslands. Port of Seattle: South King and Port Communities Fund (SKPCF) Economic Opportunities for Communities (EOC)
The SKPCF Economic Opportunities for Communities (EOC) program funds community-led career- prep and readiness programs to connect historically underrepresented communities to opportunities for living- wage jobs and careers in aviation, construction trades, green jobs, and maritime. The Port of Seattle will be accepting applications for community-based organizations to increase visibility of jobs and careers in Port-related industries in historically underrepresented communities surrounding Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) and South King County, extending up to Beacon Hill and Duwamish Valley. Funding supports programs that connect residents to living-wage jobs and career pathways in Port-related industries.

City of Seattle: Equitable Development Capacity Building Grants
The Equitable Development Capacity Building Grants RFP (released on March 12, 2026) will advance King County EDI’s vision of an inclusive and equitable King County with resilient, thriving, and welcoming communities. The purpose of the grant is to increase the capacity of community-based organizations (CBOs) with less experience in housing development. Funds are intended to support CBOs already working on an affordable housing project, at any stage from concept and visioning to planning and predevelopment. Funds can be used to increase organizational, project, or financial readiness as they relate to an affordable housing project. CBOs do not need to have prior experience completing a King County Housing Finance Application or developing an affordable housing project to be eligible. King County EDI prioritizes projects that advance equity and self-determination of communities that are adversely impacted by structural racism and discrimination and that are led by and for communities facing a heightened risk of displacement. Proposals must be submitted via Agiloft.

Seattle Public Utilities and Waste Management: 2026 ReThink Waste Grants
Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) and WM are inviting Seattle community organizations, small businesses, and nonprofits to apply for the 2026 ReThink Waste Grants. Now in its eighth year, this program supports creative, community-driven projects that reduce waste, increase recycling, and expand composting in Seattle neighborhoods. From circular-economy pilots to reuse programs, repair workshops, and waste-prevention campaigns, the grants are designed to help local organizations bring new ideas to life.
Award Amount: $500-$5,000
Applications due June 16, 2026.
City of Seattle: Food Equity 2026 Starter Fund
The Starter Fund prioritizes community organizations and groups with an annual budget of less than $500,000. The intention is to provide a nimble grant to smaller, grassroots organizations advancing an equitable and sustainable local food system who historically have limited access to institutional funding. The submission process consists of a simple written application and a required virtual interview. Review the Grant Guidelines here. Award Amount: Up to $25,000.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis through July 31st or until funding runs out.
