“Where to?” Wherever you’re headed, take Metro! Fares are required. If you have a disability, have a lower income or are a senior, you may qualify for a reduced fare. Youth 18 and younger can ride free with a  Free Youth Transit Pass.

Weekend Service Impacts

• Routes 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 13, 14, 24, 27, 28, 33, 40, 56, 62, 124, 131, 132, RapidRide C, D, E, and H Line will be affected by the closure of 3rd Avenue & Virginia Street from Saturday, March 14 at 6 a.m. to Sunday, March 15 at 7 p.m. due to construction;
• Routes 125, RapidRide C and H Line will be rerouted from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 14 during the St Patrick's Day Parade;
• Routes 4, 5, 8, 28, 40, 62, ST 554, and RapidRide C and E Line will be rerouted from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Sunday, March 15 during the St Patrick's Day Dash;
• Routes 45, 67, 75, and 372 are rerouted from Saturday, March 14 through Sunday, March 15 due to the Cherry Blossom Festival;
• Routes 230, 231, 239, 245, and 255 will be rerouted from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 14 during the Kirkland Shamrock Run;
• Route ST 522 is rerouted from Friday, March 13 at 9 p.m. to Monday, March 16 at 4 a.m. due to construction at the SR-522 & I-405 interchange;

Service Reminders

• Take transit to all your sporting and community events in Seattle. Metro and Link light rail serve riders heading to T-Mobile Park, Husky Stadium, Lumen Field, and Climate Pledge Arena;
  • The Seattle Kraken will play at the Climate Pledge Arena at 5 p.m. on Sunday;
• Water Taxi is operating on the winter sailing schedule as of Saturday, October 11;
• Seattle Center Monorail will operate 7:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 12 a.m. on Saturday, and 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday. The Monorail will depart approximately every 10 minutes;
• Riders can use Text for Departures by texting their stop number to 62550 to get next departure times;
• Remember, it's free and easy to sign up for email or text alerts about King County Metro service. Alerts can be tailored to your favorite route(s).

King County Metro expands bus service and launches systemwide all-door boarding starting March 28

Starting Saturday, March 28, Metro will increase bus service with earlier morning trips, later evening service, and more weekend options in south King County and across the Eastside. At the same time, Metro will launch systemwide all-door boarding, allowing riders to board through any door, helping reduce delays at busy stops and improving travel time and reliability across the system.

The service changes strengthen connections to Sound Transit’s expanding Link light rail system, including the new 2 Line Crosslake Connection between Seattle and the Eastside. Together, these improvements make it easier for riders to move between bus and rail while improving reliability across the transit network. They also help prepare the region for a busy summer of major events, including the FIFA World Cup, by making it easier for riders to travel quickly and reliably throughout the region.

Metro adjusts bus schedules each March and August to respond to ridership demand, traffic conditions, and the region’s expanding transit network. Details about the March service change are now available online in English, Simplified Chinese, Russian, Spanish and Vietnamese.
