 Grant Opportunities Available Now! [Deadlines: March – April]

We have several grant opportunities that are available now and wanted to share them with you. Investing in our local non-profit organizations and supporting innovative ideas through funding is critical to help ensure each of our communities can thrive, now and into the future! The deadlines for these grants are through April. Grant and Funding Sources
The following grant opportunities are listed in order of application due date, with the soonest deadline listed first. Any applications that have rolling deadlines are located towards the bottom of the list.
1. 4Culture Art, Heritage, & Preservation Special Project Grants
Applications are due Wednesday, March 11 @ 5 p.m. Apply now at this link!
Details: These 4Culture project grants can help put ideas in motion and turn them into reality. The project grants are awarded in three disciplines: arts, heritage, and preservation. Make sure to read the guidelines for them carefully, as each of the applications has slightly different requirements. 2. City of Duvall Economic Development and Tourism Grant Program
Applications are due Friday, March 13 @ 5 p.m. Send application materials via email to rita.moreno@duvallwa.gov or via the drop box at Duvall City Hall (15535 Main Street NE, Duvall, WA 98019).
Details: The City of Duvall’s Economic Development and Tourism grant program distributes funds to non-profit organizations that promote the City of Duvall as a visitor destination to enhance tourism and enhance Duvall’s economic health by attracting, creating, expanding, and retaining businesses in Duvall. This grant program is designed to seed ideas for events and programming that can become self-sustaining in the future.
Any non-profit organization with an existing event that wishes to request fee waivers for banners, permits, or rental facilities, or that anticipates significant City staff, equipment, or resource involvement, should apply for those waivers through this grant program. Please note that this program is not intended to cover ongoing operational costs for existing programs.

3. Veterans, Seniors, & Human Services Levy (VSHSL) Technical Assistance and Capacity Building Mini Grants
Applications are due Friday, March 20 @ 4 p.m. Submit applications via Agiloft!
Details: VSHSL Technical Assistance and Capacity Building Mini Grants aim to strengthen the capacity and improve performance of programs, services, and processes within small to mid-size organizations with an active VSHSL contract providing human services in King County.

4. Snoqualmie Valley Preservation Alliance Farmer Flood Relief Fund
The rolling application deadline has been extended to Tuesday, March 31 @ 11:59 p.m. for King County farms. Apply now at this link!
Details: The Farmer Flood Relief Fund is a one-time emergency relief program created in response to the December 2025 flooding. This fund provides rapid, short-term financial assistance to commercial farms in King and Snohomish Counties that experienced flood-related impacts. This program is designed to help farms fill early recovery gaps while waiting for insurance payments or larger state and federal assistance programs to mobilize. Available grants range from $1,000 to $10,000.

5. Workforce Development Council of Seattle-King County Community-Led Grants
Applications are due Monday, April 6 @ 5 p.m. Apply now at this link!
Details: These business grants, shaped by the Washington State Department of Commerce’s Community Reinvestment Program, are designed to increase equity in economic opportunity by supporting businesses owned by individuals from historically underserved communities, particularly Black, Native American, Latine, Asian, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities. More than $400,000 is available.
These grants are designed to support businesses at different stages, whether launching, stabilizing, or growing, and to strengthen workforce participation, job quality, and long-term economic stability.

6. 4Culture Launch Program
The Intent to Apply form is due Thursday, April 16 @ 5 p.m. Only applicants who complete the Intent to Apply form by this date will be able to apply for this program. The final application is due Wednesday, May 6 @ 5 p.m.
Details: The Launch program supports new and emerging cultural and science organizations in King County. Organizations that are selected through the Launch program will receive three years of general operating support and will also have access to additional capacity-building support services. Launch grants are not project-based; they are based on an organization’s overall mission and plans.

7. Veterans, Seniors, & Human Services Levy (VSHSL) Vets Engaged
Applications are due Monday, April 20 @ 5 p.m. Submit applications via Agiloft!
Details: The Vets Engaged grant supports the convening of community-building events and networks that increase social connection for veterans and military servicemembers, and their families, in King County. This grant is open to for-profit and nonprofit organizations, community-based organizations, tribes and tribal organizations, and governmental agencies serving communities in King County.

8. Veterans, Seniors, & Human Services Levy (VSHSL) Short-Term Engagement Projects
Applications are due Monday, April 20 @ 5 p.m. Submit applications via Agiloft!
Details: These Short-Term Engagement Projects grants support short-term community-building events and activities that provide social engagement opportunities for seniors, communities of color, immigrant communities, people with disabilities, LGBTQ+ communities, and other communities who may experience social isolation or financial barriers to social connection. Organizations may request up to $10,000 in funding. The total funding available is $93,000.

9. Best Starts for Kids Capacity Building Small Grant
Applications are due Thursday, April 23 @ 2 p.m. Submit applications via Agiloft!
Details: The purpose of this grant opportunity is to support community-based organizations that are current awardees of Best Starts funds (who have a Best Starts contract as of April 23, 2026). These small grants will support the infrastructure needed to enhance the capacity of Best Starts partners to provide services and programming. This includes the equipment, systems, resources, and processes that sustain the key functions of an organization.
Applicants may request up to $9,999 in their proposed budget; Best Starts has approximately $850,000 for this funding opportunity. The amount of funding awarded to each awardee will be determined during the application review. Eligible applicants will be limited to one award per organization.

10. Carnation Cares Human Services Grant

Details: This grant aims to support local nonprofit organizations that provide vital services, community connection, education, and equitable access to the Carnation community. To be eligible for this grant, some requirements are that you must be a 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(6) nonprofit entity, you must provide services in the city of Carnation (within city limits), the funds must be used to provide direct services and/or events to the Carnation community, and more.

11. Healthy Environment for All (HEAL) Capacity Grant
 Applications are due Thursday, April 30 @ 11:59 p.m. Apply now at this link!
Details: These Healthy Environment for All (HEAL) capacity grants are intended to support community organizations whose capacity building efforts are aligned with and will advance the goals of the HEAL Act. Non-profit, 501 (c)(3) community-based organizations (and organizations that they fiscally sponsor) throughout Washington State who work with overburdened and vulnerable communities are encouraged to apply. There are 18 available capacity grants in the amount of $20,000 each.

12. King Conservation District Seed Money Grants
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until Wednesday, September 30, or until funds are exhausted. Apply now at this link!
Details: These grants support the creation of new community agriculture projects and the sustainability of existing projects. Projects will be selected based on potential for community impact, engagement of diverse groups, and natural resource stewardship.
Groups that currently hold a KCD grant are not eligible to apply for the same community agriculture project. Applications from groups that have previously received a Seed Money Grant will not be reviewed until March 1 to allow other organizations the opportunity to apply. Projects must be located within KCD’s service area.

13. Best Starts Child Care Subsidy
First there will be an initial eligibility form to fill out; if you are eligible, you will be invited to fill out the full application. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Apply now at this link!
Details: Since launching in 2022, the Best Starts Child Care Subsidy has served over 2,000 children and has already resulted in positive impacts for families. A survey of families receiving the Best Starts subsidy showed families had more freedom to pursue career goals or advancements; saw reduced stress and improved quality of life; and had increased ability to pay for basic needs, including food, healthcare, childcare, formula, diapers, and transportation.
Families may be eligible if they:
- Live in King County
- Fall below 85% State Median Income (see table on website)
- Are not eligible for the State Working Connections Child Care (WCCC) subsidy program
- Have one or more children (12 or younger)
- Choose a licensed childcare provider

14. Medic One Foundation Community AED Grants

Details: Medic One Foundation offers a limited number of grants for the purchase of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) to be placed in public areas such as local government facilities, community centers, playfields, parks, and law enforcement vehicles within King and Snohomish counties. Priority will be given and grants awarded based upon demonstrated financial need, population served, location, and potential impact. Organizations must be a nonprofit or public entity.

15. Open 4Culture
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis with a break between February 1 and March 31 (meaning you may apply anytime except between February 1 and March 31, 2026).
Details: Open 4Culture is the perfect introduction to 4Culture and grants in general. 4Culture staff will walk applicants through the process and give guidance on submitting strong application materials and responsible, realistic budgets and project plans. The grant awards up to $2,500 for Arts, Heritage, and Historic Preservation projects taking place in 2026.
