 Grant Opportunities Available Now! [Deadlines: February – March]

We have several grant opportunities that are available now and wanted to share them with you. Investing in our local non-profit organizations and supporting innovative ideas through funding is critical to help ensure each of our communities can thrive, now and into the future! The deadlines for these grants are through March. Grant and Funding Sources
The following grant opportunities are listed in order of application due date, with the soonest deadline listed first. Any applications that have rolling deadlines are located towards the bottom of the list.
1. 4Culture Public Free Access
Applications must be started, with a draft saved, by Thursday, February 12, @ 5 p.m. Full applications are due Thursday, February 26 @ 5 p.m. Apply now at this link!
Details: The 4Culture Public Free Access Program aims to reduce the significant barrier that admission fees pose to many King County residents – particularly underserved communities – and visitors in accessing quality, relevant, cultural experiences. Grants may be used to support free and reduced cost participation in arts, heritage, historic preservation, or science and technology-related experiences.

2. NextCycle Washington Capacity-Building Program
Applications are due Friday, February 13 @ 11:59 p.m. Apply now at this link!
Details: This pilot program by NextCycle Washington offers skills, tools, guidance, and early funding to support projects focused on repair, reuse, composting, and keeping materials in use in King County. The program is designed to make it easier for people to access and participate in the circular economy, which is a system that allows us to reduce the waste we produce from single-use products and packaging.

3. Silver Family Foundation Grants
 Applications are due Saturday, February 14 @ 11:59 p.m. Apply now at this link!
Details: The Silver Family Foundation strives to support positive youth development by making grants to non-profits in Washington, as well as in Oregon and Idaho, that work with at-risk youth. They focus on youth development programs that provide in-depth, long-term investments and opportunities for underserved youth. The grant ranges from $15,000 to $50,000, and the foundation considers multi-year grants.

4. Snoqualmie Valley Preservation Alliance (SVPA) Farmer Flood Relief Fund
The first round of award decisions will be made by Sunday, February 15. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis through Sunday, March 1. Apply now at this link!
Details: The Farmer Flood Relief Fund is a one-time emergency relief program created in response to the December 2025 flooding. This fund provides rapid, short-term financial assistance to commercial farms in King and Snohomish Counties that experienced flood-related impacts. This program is designed to help farms fill early recovery gaps while waiting for insurance payments or larger state and federal assistance programs to mobilize. Available grants range from $1,000 to $10,000.

5. VSHSL DCHS-wide Human Services Workforce Stabilization Program
Applications are due Thursday, February 19 @ 2 p.m. Apply now at this link!
Details: This RFP aims to improve staff recruitment and retention within organizations with active Department of Community & Human Services (DCHS) awards providing Human Services in King County. Funds may be used to support staff across an organization through related expenses including, but not limited to:
- Increased wages
- Improved benefits
- Reduced cost of living subsidies, such as housing, education, childcare or health insurance offsets
- Hiring bonuses
- Retention bonuses
- Professional development and other training to improve service quality and staff wellness
This RFP is open to eligible organizations that are funded by DCHS, have not previously received funding through this particular grant program, and have an active contract period that ends on or after December 31, 2026 OR a contract that automatically renews annually and will extend to or beyond December 31, 2026.

6. Kuni Foundation Intellectual & Developmental Disability Grants

Details: The Kuni Foundation offers two types of Intellectual & Developmental Disability Grants with the same deadline:
Imagination Grants: Advancing Opportunity and Inclusion for People Experiencing Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities
- Imagination Grants serve as a catalyst for strengthening or expanding the capabilities of an organization in service to its mission. These one-year grants are intended to fulfill an unmet need or provide a spark to advance initiatives or access additional funding in pursuit of broader community goals.
- Average grant awarded is $30,000. Maximum funding request is $75,000.
Imagination Planning Grants for IDD Housing
- The lack of quality, affordable housing options for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) is an ongoing crisis in the U.S. Planning grants reflect the Kuni Foundation’s commitment to supporting the exploration of new, inclusive housing efforts in urban and rural areas of Oregon and Washington that are affordable, scalable, and sustainable. These grants are designed to support the creation of a viable action plan for project development and funding.
- Maximum funding request is $75,000.
For both grants, organizations must have a primary focus of serving people with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Programs eligible for funding include education, advocacy, employment, the arts, and supportive, inclusive, or independent housing. Organizations must be a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

7. 4Culture Art, Heritage, & Preservation Special Project Grants
Applications are due Wednesday, March 11 @ 5 p.m. Apply now at this link!
Details: These 4Culture project grants can help put ideas in motion and turn them into reality. The project grants are awarded in three disciplines: arts, heritage, and preservation. Make sure to read the guidelines for them carefully, as each of the applications has slightly different requirements. 8. VSHSL Technical Assistance and Capacity Building Mini Grants
Applications are due Friday, March 20 @ 4 p.m. Apply now at this link!
Details: VSHSL Technical Assistance and Capacity Building Mini Grants aim to strengthen the capacity and improve performance of programs, services, and processes within small to mid-size organizations with an active VSHSL contract providing human services in King County.

9. 4Culture Launch Program
The Launch Program application is not currently open, but the intent to apply application will be due Thursday, April 16 @ 5 p.m.
Details: The Launch program supports new and emerging cultural and science organizations in King County. Organizations that are selected through the Launch program will receive three years of general operating support and will also have access to additional capacity-building support services. Launch grants are not project-based; they are based on an organization’s overall mission and plans.

10. King Conservation District Seed Money Grants
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until Wednesday, September 30, or until funds are exhausted. Apply now at this link!
Details: These grants support the creation of new community agriculture projects and the sustainability of existing projects. Projects will be selected based on potential for community impact, engagement of diverse groups, and natural resource stewardship.
Groups that currently hold a KCD grant are not eligible to apply for the same community agriculture project. Applications from groups that have previously received a Seed Money Grant will not be reviewed until March 1 to allow other organizations the opportunity to apply. Projects must be located within KCD’s service area.

11. Best Starts Child Care Subsidy
First there will be an initial eligibility form to fill out; if you are eligible, you will be invited to fill out the full application. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Apply now at this link!
Details: Since launching in 2022, the Best Starts Child Care Subsidy has served over 2,000 children and has already resulted in positive impacts for families. A survey of families receiving the Best Starts subsidy showed families had more freedom to pursue career goals or advancements; saw reduced stress and improved quality of life; and had increased ability to pay for basic needs, including food, healthcare, childcare, formula, diapers, and transportation.
Families may be eligible if they:
- Live in King County
- Fall below 85% State Median Income (see table on website)
- Are not eligible for the State Working Connections Child Care (WCCC) subsidy program
- Have one or more children (12 or younger)
- Choose a licensed childcare provider

12. Medic One Foundation Community AED Grants

Details: Medic One Foundation offers a limited number of grants for the purchase of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) to be placed in public areas such as local government facilities, community centers, playfields, parks, and law enforcement vehicles within King and Snohomish counties. Priority will be given and grants awarded based upon demonstrated financial need, population served, location, and potential impact. Organizations must be a nonprofit or public entity.
