December 17th Atmospheric River and Flood Update

Dear Friends:

As wind and rain continue to pummel Western Washington, the King County Flood Control District and King County Road Services are available to provide help and information about current and expected conditions. King County Solid Waste is now accepting debris from Tuesday night’s wind storm for free disposal through January 11 (more information below).

Significant flooding is currently occurring on several rivers within the county. The Flood Warning Center will remain operational, and Flood Patrols will be active throughout the week.

Visit the King County Flood Warning System to view gauge data, forecasts, maps, and peak flow events, or check the National Weather Service Flood Warnings.

Please stay informed and safe.

With best wishes,
