Limited operations at King County Pet Adoption Center through December 19
Out of caution due to the ongoing flood emergency, operations will be limited at the King County Pet Adoption Center in Kent through at least December 19.
Regional Animal Services is asking residents to:
- Avoid bringing stray animals into the shelter. Instead, use the tips we have at kingcounty.gov/FoundAPet, using websites and social media to reunite stray pets with their owners.
- Hold off on surrendering a pet. Connect with friends or family for temporary pet housing if you live in a flood-impacted area.
Also, because many roads in the Kent Valley are closed or restricted due to flooding, prospective pet adopters are asked to hold off on visiting the center at 21615 64th Ave. S. during the current situation. RASKC will be moving most of its animals to foster homes or other offsite locations.
