We have several grant opportunities that are available now and wanted to share them with you. Investing in our local non-profit organizations and supporting innovative ideas through funding is critical to help ensure each of our communities can thrive, now and into the future! The deadlines for these grants are through February. Grant and Funding Sources
The following grant opportunities are listed in order of application due date, with the soonest deadline listed first. Any applications that have rolling deadlines are located towards the bottom of the list.
1. Washington State Electric Vehicle Charging Stations Program
 Applications are due Thursday, December 18 @ 4 p.m. Apply now at this link!
Details: The Washington State Department of Commerce is soliciting applications from organizations who are qualified and interested in grant funding to build electric vehicle charging. The program funds multifamily residential, publicly accessible, fleet, and workplace charging. Eligible applicants include public agencies, federally recognized tribal governments, retail electric utilities, non-profits, and for-profit businesses (with additional requirements).

2. Washington State Community Firearm Violence Intervention and Prevention Grants
 Applications are due Wednesday, January 7 @ 11:59 p.m. Apply now at this link!
Details: The Washington State Office of Firearm Safety and Violence Prevention is seeking proposals to improve public health and safety through effective firearm violence reduction initiatives. Target communities must be disproportionately affected by firearm violence. Successful applicants should use evidence-based and evidence-informed violence intervention strategies that are culturally relevant and community-led. The total funding available is $8 million. Individual organizations will receive between $200,000 and $800,000 in total.

3. VSHSL Technical Assistance and Capacity Building Mini Grants

Details: These grants aim to strengthen the capacity and improve the performance of programs, services, and processes within small to midsize organizations with active VSHSL contracts through King County. Eligible applicants must have a currently active VSHSL contract and an annual revenue of under $8 million.

4. Redmond World Cup Watch Party Grant Program

Details: The City of Redmond is excited to offer grants to support community-driven World Cup watch parties in public spaces across Redmond. This program aims to activate public spaces, strengthen community connections, and celebrate the global excitement of the World Cup during the tournament period from June 11 - July 19, 2026. This grant is open to nonprofit organizations, community groups, and businesses. Typical grants range from $500 - $6,000, with larger amounts considered for exceptional community events with significant community impact.

5. Amex Shop Small Business Grants Program
Applications are due Friday, January 16 @ 10 p.m. Apply now at this link!
Details: To help small businesses grow, innovate, and support their local communities, American Express is teaming up with Main Street America to launch the Amex Shop Small Grants Program. The program will provide an initial $5 million to fund 250 grants of $20,000 each to eligible small business owners across the U.S. Recipients will have a 6-month period to complete a project that enriches their business – applicants are encouraged to prepare a ready-to-execute project plan and a detailed, itemized budget.

6. Washington State Industrial Symbiosis Grants
Applications are due Tuesday, January 20 @ 4 p.m. Apply now at this link!
Details: The Washington State Department of Commerce administers the Industrial Symbiosis Grant Program to support the practice of industrial symbiosis – diverting and capturing waste generated by organizations to be repurposed and innovated into beneficial resources for use by another industry. As a key strategy for a thriving circular economy, industrial symbiosis projects help efforts to reduce environmental impacts in our communities, develop a local resilient supply chain, and grow economic opportunities. About $2.4 million is available from the grant program. Applications can request funding within the award range of $40,000 to $500,000.

7. Safer Choices and Hazardous Waste Disposal Education Program
Applications are due Friday, January 30 @ 2 p.m. Submit application materials via email to cpres-EHS@kingcounty.gov.
Details: The King County Hazardous Waste Management Program and its Residential Services Program are seeking applications from community-based organizations to deliver Safer Choices and hazardous waste disposal education across King County. The primary goal of this program is to reduce household exposure to harmful chemicals by increasing community awareness, promoting safer product alternatives, and supporting proper disposal practices.

8. WA State Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates Program
Applications are due Thursday, February 5, 2026 @ 4 p.m. Submit application materials via email to homerebates@commerce.wa.gov.
Details: The State Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates (HEAR) Program provides grants to third-party administrators to provide rebates and incentives to households and small businesses to purchase and install high-efficiency electric equipment and appliances. WA State Department of Commerce is accepting applications from eligible third-party administrators for funding for rebate programs in 2025-2027.
Note: This program is seeking local organizations to distribute rebates. If you’re a homeowner or business owner seeking a rebate, please check out this website to see if you qualify.

9. King County Conservation Futures Grants
Applications are due Monday, February 9, 2026 @ 4 p.m. Submit application materials via email to Ingrid.Lundin@kingcounty.gov.
Details: Conservation Futures grants are used to buy or conserve sites that will be used as parks and open spaces – for example, urban greenspaces and parks, natural areas, sites for habitat and stream restoration, forests, community gardens, farms, and trails. These open spaces may be used for passive recreation. Conservation Futures grants can be made to local government agencies and eligible nature conservancy or historic preservation nonprofits.

10. Medic One Foundation Community AED Grants

Details: Medic One Foundation offers a limited number of grants for the purchase of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) to be placed in public areas such as local government facilities, community centers, playfields, parks, and law enforcement vehicles within King and Snohomish counties. Priority will be given and grants awarded based upon demonstrated financial need, population served, location, and potential impact. Organizations must be a nonprofit or public entity.

11. Open 4Culture

Details: Open 4Culture is the perfect introduction to 4Culture and grants in general. 4Culture staff will walk applicants through the process and give guidance on submitting strong application materials and responsible, realistic budgets and project plans. The grant awards up to $2,500 for Arts, Heritage, and Historic Preservation projects taking place in 2026.
