We have several grant opportunities that are available now and wanted to share them with you. Investing in our local non-profit organizations and supporting innovative ideas through funding is critical to help ensure each of our communities can thrive, now and into the future! The deadlines for these grants are through early December, so make sure you apply soon. Interested in learning more about finances, compliance, and applying for grants as a nonprofit? Join an information session!
The Human Services Funding Collaborative is a grants hub that allows applicants to fill out just one application and automatically apply to grant opportunities at 16 different cities in King County, including Issaquah, Redmond, and Sammamish.
The Collaborative is holding two information sessions for new applicants in late October. The sessions will be held in-person, but recordings will be available online afterwards. Locations below!

Thursday, October 30, from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Details: Approaching nonprofit finance in a welcoming way, this virtual workshop aims to help unlock your financial literacy. From key words and forms to understanding how everything fits together, you will increase your basic nonprofit finance knowledge.

Tuesday, November 18, from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Details: Let’s Go Legal is here to help you achieve your mission and stay compliant in the process. The virtual workshop will cover: State law, federal law, fundraising, employment law, and intellectual property law.

The following grant opportunities are listed in order of application due date, with the soonest deadline listed first. Any applications that have rolling deadlines are located towards the bottom of the list.
1. 4Culture Curiosity Pass
Applications are due Tuesday, October 21 @ 5:00 p.m. Applicants are required to complete an eligibility pre-screening; drafts for the pre-screening are due Wednesday, October 8 @ 5:00 p.m. Apply now at this link!
Details: 4Culture is providing an opportunity to create engaging arts, cultural, and science educational experiences for King County public school students! This grant provides 2-year funding to cultural partners with youth-serving projects in our K-12 public schools.
Groups and individual educators can use this grant for funding the creation of new cultural education programs, or the continuation or expansion of existing programs. Programs can include in-school activities (residencies, workshops, performances, lessons), before and after school programs, field trips, programs that take place in the summer and/or during school breaks, and professional development.

2. King County Climate Equity Sponsorship

Details: The Executive Climate Office is accepting applications for the 2025 King County Climate Equity Sponsorship grant. This grant provides sponsorship assistance to community organizations and climate justice leaders, with the goal of effectively engaging and serving King County frontline communities on climate action, policy, and advocacy. Funding may go towards fundraising events, educational events, community work events, and other relevant projects.

3. Behavioral Health and Recovery Youth Support Services

Details: The Department of Community and Human Services (DCHS) is requesting proposals for the 2026-2027 Youth Support Services program, which provides outreach and engagement services to youth and young adults ages 13-25. This grant seeks to fund organizations with a deep knowledge of behavioral health services and substance use disorders and that have experience designing and/or delivering services that meet the needs of diverse communities.
This request is open to for-profit and nonprofit organizations, community-based organizations, tribes and tribal organizations, and public or governmental agencies serving communities in King County. Organizations may request up to $500,000 ($250,000 annually) for the funding period.

4. VSHSL DCHS-wide Human Services Workforce Stabilization

Details: The Department of Community and Human Services (DCHS) is requesting proposals for the Human Services Workforce Stabilization grant. This grant aims to improve staff recruitment and retention within organizations with active DCHS awards. Funds may be used to support staff across an organization through related expenses, including increased wages, improved benefits, reduced cost of living, and professional development and other training to improve service quality and staff wellness. This request for proposals is open to eligible organizations that are funded by DCHS with an active contract period that ends on or after December 31, 2026.

5. WA State Diaper Program

Details: The Washington State Department of Commerce will fund diaper banks for the purchase of diapers, wipes and other essential baby products for distribution to families in need. Priority will be given to providers serving or located in marginalized or low-income communities. Providers who help support racial equity will also be prioritized.

6. 4Culture Cultural Support Services Projects

Details: The Cultural Support Services Projects program provides funding for organizations and Tribes that improve the quality of life and careers for King County cultural practitioners. This program invests in the people who lead and sustain the culture and science sectors. A thriving, sustainable workforce strengthens the arts, culture, and science ecosystems and, in turn, improves the cultural and science experiences available to the residents and visitors of King County.

7. 2026 Issaquah Arts Grants

Details: The City of Issaquah is accepting applications for the 2026 Issaquah Arts Grant. This program supports projects that provide meaningful arts engagement opportunities for all ages and abilities; celebrate the community’s cultural diversity; cultivate a creative and vibrant arts community; and support local arts and cultural organizations and artists.

8. WA State Commerce Early Learning Facilities Expansion and Maintenance Grant

Details: The Early Learning Facilities (ELF) grant program supports high-quality early learning opportunities for children from low-income households. ELF aims to help contractors and providers to expand, remodel, purchase, or construct early learning facilities and classrooms.
ELF funding is open to nonprofits, public entities, K-12 schools and districts, tribes, and for-profit businesses. Grants made by the ELF program are for reimbursement of capital projects only. Capital project expenses include acquiring, constructing, or renovating early learning facilities.

9. NextCycle Washington Business & Nonprofit Circular Accelerator Program

Details: NextCycle Washington’s Circular Accelerator Program supports businesses and projects focused on reuse, repair, recycling, composting, and the use of recycled content in new products. It provides business planning and technical support for organizations to execute promising circular businesses and projects.
The program is open to private sector businesses, nonprofits, community-based organizations, institutions, and Tribal nations and organizations. Applicants are selected for a six-month program to advance their ventures.

10. King County Public Health Promoting First Relationships: Agency Training Project

Details: King County Public Health is requesting applications from community-based agencies to participate in Promoting First Relationships training. This training equips service providers to help parents and other caregivers nurture young children’s social and emotional development. Agencies can apply for training at two levels: Level 2 Certified Provider or Level 3 Agency Trainer. Additionally, agencies may request an individual or several individuals from an agency to participate in the Promoting First Relationships training, depending on agency needs. The funding level will vary between $2,000-$20,000.

11. Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce Game Ready Activation Grants

Details: The Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, through its Community Business Connector program, is offering Game Ready Activation Grants to support short-term, community-led activations across King County in 2025. These events are intended to promote public engagement, tourism, and small business visibility in anticipation of the 2026 World Cup.
Grants of $5,000, $10,000, and $20,000 are awarded on a rolling basis. Apply early—funding is limited and may be exhausted before the final deadline of November 10, 2025.

12. Redmond World Cup Watch Party Grant Program
Applications are due Friday, November 14 @ 11:59 p.m. (early deadline) and Thursday, January 15 @ 11:59 p.m. (final deadline). Apply now at this link!
Details: The City of Redmond is excited to offer grants to support community-driven World Cup watch parties in public spaces across Redmond. This program aims to activate public spaces, strengthen community connections, and celebrate the global excitement of the World Cup during the tournament period from June 11 - July 19, 2026. This grant is open to nonprofit organizations, community groups, and businesses.
Grants available: Typical grants range from $500 - $6,000, with larger amounts considered for exceptional community events with significant community impact.

13. Alan M. Painter Local Services Grant Program

Details: The Department of Local Services is distributing Alan M. Painter Grants to community projects that help residents in King County’s unincorporated areas participate in—and be more connected to—their communities and King County. Amounts will be limited to less than $5,000 per project.
