Update: North Mercer Pump Station fire alarm testing as early as August 7
Expect intermittent noise and flashing lights coming from the pump station
Earlier this year, crews installed a new fire alarm system in the North Mercer Pump Station building. Starting as early as Thursday, August 7, they will begin setting up and testing the new fire alarm system. Crews will program the system, correct any issues that may be identified, and run the system through testing.
Testing is anticipated to occur between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. when the fire monitoring system crews are on site. During testing, neighbors near the pump station may notice periodic noise and lights coming from the building.
