July 2025
Update: Environmental monitoring planned as early as July 30
|
|
Crews will conduct survey work by boat and along the shoreline
Starting as early as July 30, a four-person crew on a boat will begin surveying the East Channel. This work will also include drone survey flights at Enatai Beach Park and the Mercer Island Boat Launch.
Beginning August 1, the crew will conduct elevation surveys along the shorelines at those same locations. This work is expected to be completed within three days.
These surveys will help King County meet permit requirements for environmental restoration, following last year’s shoreline enhancements that included installing logs and placing gravel to improve fish habitat.
