Environmental monitoring planned as early as
July 18
|
|
Crews will conduct survey work by boat and along the shoreline
Starting as early as July 18, a four-person crew on a boat will survey the East Channel.
Beginning as early as July 21, the crew will conduct elevation and drone surveys along the shorelines at the Mercer Island Boat Launch and Enatai Beach Park. This work is expected to be completed within two days.
Last year, crews enhanced and restored these shoreline areas by installing logs and placing gravel to improve fish habitat. These surveys will help King County meet permit requirements for environmental restoration.
