Striking Amendment Released
Since transmittal of the 2025 Comprehensive Plan and critical areas regulations in December, the Local Services and Land Use Committee has held three committee meetings to discuss the Executive's transmitted Plan and hear public comment. Based on Committee discussion, public comments, requests from Councilmembers, and deliberations with the Executive, the Local Service and Land Use Committee Chair has issued a Striking Amendment to the 2025 Comprehensive Plan and critical area regulations. The amendments are available on the Council's Comprehensive Plan website.
Committee Briefing – Wednesday, July 16
The Council's Local Services and Land Use Committee will be briefed on the Chair's Striking Amendment to the 2025 Comprehensive Plan and critical areas regulations ordinance on Wednesday, July 16, beginning at 9:30 a.m. The meeting will be in a hybrid format; public comments may be submitted in writing, in person in the Council Chambers on the 10th Floor of the King County Courthouse, at 516 3rd Ave, Seattle, WA, or through the Zoom webinar. Public Comment Opportunities
Written comments on the proposed plan are welcome at any time during the Council’s review. Comments can be submitted electronically by emailing CouncilCompPlan@kingcounty.gov. The Council looks forward to your involvement in the review of the proposed 2025 Comprehensive Plan update.
