1. The WaterWorks Council track is accepting applications now through July 29, 2025.

This cycle has $1.6 million available in 2025 funding; proposals can request between $10,000 and $200,000. Funded projects will likely start in early 2026.

For questions about the review or selection process for Council funding, contact your King County Councilmember's office. Visit the Council district finder for contact info and maps.

One application, two opportunities:

Council proposals that do not receive funding through this track will automatically be considered for the competitive track (you don't need to submit your proposal again). You can submit proposals for different projects to the two tracks.

2. The WaterWorks competitive track will accept proposals from August 19 through September 30, 2025. This cycle has $4.6 million available in funding for 2025/26; proposals can request between $10,000 and $200,000. Funded projects will likely start in late 2026 or early 2027. This year, we'll be using a 2-step application process that starts with a short Letter of Intent. For more information, visit the updates page and this timeline for the competitive track.

Stay tuned - more information is coming soon on the competitive track.
