King County’s WaterWorks Grant Program is now accepting applications! WaterWorks supports community-led projects that protect and improve water quality in the service area of King County’s regional wastewater system.
Eligible applicants include nonprofits, schools and educational institutions, cities, counties, tribes, and special purpose districts. Partnerships are encouraged!
Key Deadlines for Council-Allocated Grants
- Applications opened: July 7, 2025
- Priority deadline: July 29, 2025
- Expected award notifications: Late 2025
Each Council District will have funding available to award and all applications can be submitted through the grant portal. If your organization or project is based in District 4, please contact my colleague Clara Manahan (Clara.Manahan@kingcounty.gov) with questions. If you are unsure of your district of residence, visit the Council district finder for more information.
An additional round of funding will be available later this summer through the Department of Natural Resources and Parks. For more information on the Competitive track, visit the Competitive Grant Timeline.
