Sections of I-90 Trail between 84th Avenue Southeast and Southeast 35th Street expected to reopen by July 11 |

Last week, crews paved the I-90 Trail between Island Crest Way and Shorewood Drive and between Fortuna Drive and SE 35th St. After paving, they restored and reopened the section of trail between Island Crest Way and 84th Avenue SE.
Crews are now finishing restoration work between 84th Ave SE and SE 35th Street. This section of the trail is expected to reopen by July 11 once restoration is complete.
We appreciate everyone’s patience during this critical sewer upgrade project. Project crews are working hard to finish construction along these sections of the I-90 Trail so we can return this space to the community.
Until the trail reopens, please follow marked detours and signs. Drivers should use extreme caution while moving through this area.
 Until the sections of I-90 Trail between 84th Ave SE and SE 35th St reopen, please follow marked detours and signs. The section of the trail between SE 35th St and SE 35th Pl will stay closed for remaining construction in that area.

What to expect:
- Approved work hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Saturday.
- Speed limits on North Mercer Way will reduce to 20 mph near the work area.
- All work will be performed in the public right-of-way.
- Noise, dust, and vibrations typical of an active construction project.
- Emergency vehicle access will be maintained.
- Garbage, recycling, composting, and mail service will be maintained.
