The M Street Trunk Rehabilitation Project will repair approximately 2.6 miles of old concrete sewer pipes ranging from 18 to 36 inches wide. Crews will also rehabilitate 45 maintenance holes and restore over 100 side sewer connections to homes and businesses.
During construction, wastewater will be rerouted through a temporary pipe so crews can safely work inside the existing pipe without interrupting service. To help reduce impacts to the community, the contractor will be installing noise and odor control at key spots in the sewer diversion system.
We are committed to keeping you informed throughout this project. We will provide advance notice of construction activities through mail, email, text messages, web bulletins, and project flyers. If you are hosting a community event, we can set up a table, provide materials, and answer questions. Please contact the project team if you are interested in having us attend!
To stay informed about the project, please visit our project webpage at kingcounty.gov/MStreetTrunkRehab. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Demmelash Adera at 206-263-2340 or email Deadera@kingcounty.gov. We offer interpretation services at no cost.
