Update: North Mercer Pump Station fire alarm testing as early as June 10
Expect intermittent noise and flashing lights coming from the pump station
Earlier this year, crews installed a new fire alarm system in the North Mercer Pump Station building. Starting as early as Tuesday, June 10, they will begin setting up and testing the new fire alarm system. Crews will program the system, correct any issues that may be identified, and run the system through testing. This work is expected to take up to two days.
Testing is anticipated to occur between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. when the fire monitoring system crews are on site. During testing, neighbors near the pump station may notice periodic noise and lights coming from the building.
