The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) has rescheduled the five-day closure of State Route 18, which was previously scheduled for May 15-21, due to forecasted rain. The new dates for the closure are 9 p.m. Thursday, May 29, to 5 a.m. Wednesday, June 4.
During the closure, WSDOT will be working to improve the interchange with Interstate 90.
See my previous e-newsletter for more information about the extended closure of SR 18.
Members of the Jewish Federation accept the proclamation from the King County Council
I was honored to co-sponsor a proclamation recognizing Jewish American Heritage Month in King County. According to data provided by the Anti Defamation League, Washington has seen a shocking 431% increase in antisemitic incidents since 2021. This is why it's critical that we unite behind our Jewish neighbors as we take this time to honor the Jewish people, their story, and all that they have contributed to our community. Thank you to my colleague Councilmember Zahilay for leading on this issue.
