Crews began site prep work along Beach Drive between 64th Ave Southwest and 63rd Ave Southwest the week of May 5 - 9.
OVERVIEW: May 12 - May 16
Starting Monday, May 12, crews will begin work to relocate a waterline and excavate the roadway to install electrical conduit. Expect construction crews and traffic control devices like cones and signs around the work area. Please also anticipate increased noise during work hours from equipment like jack hammers, saws and construction vehicles.
Beach Drive Southwest between 64th Ave Southwest and 63rd Ave Southwest will be limited to one lane of traffic, with one-way traffic allowed to travel eastbound along Beach Drive Southwest.
Please avoid parking along the street of Beach Dr Southwest between 64th Ave Southwest and 63rd Ave Southwest beginning Monday, May 12 to help crews work efficiently.

Waterline relocation
WHAT: Roadway digging and waterline relocation.

This work includes a temporary Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) water service shutoff for some nearby homes. SPU will notify specific homes affected by this service shutoff at least 48 hours in advance. Please contact SPU at (206) 684-3000 if you have questions.
- Scheduled for Thursday, May 22.
- Westbound Beach Drive Southwest will be closed at intersection with 64th Avenue Southwest except to local residents. Crews will direct local access as necessary for residences in this area.
- Pedestrians will be detoured around construction area.
- Adjacent driveway access will be maintained with the assistance of crews as necessary.
- For residents along Beach Drive Southwest, please notify a crew member for immediate assistance accessing your property.
- Some street parking spots on Beach Drive Southwest and 64th Avenue Southwest near the work area will be temporarily unavailable for equipment staging and project parking.
WHEN: May 12 to Friday, May 23
- Work hours: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Noisiest work will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Water Turn-Off is scheduled with Seattle Public Utilities for Thursday, May 22.

- Beach Drive Southwest will be closed between 63rd Avenue Southwest and 64th Avenue Southwest. Crews will direct local access as necessary for residents.
- Adjacent driveway access will be limited at times during work hours. Individual residences will receive notice of upcoming driveway limitations at least 48 hours in advance.
- Some street parking spots along Beach Drive Southwest along the work area will be temporarily unavailable.
WHEN: As early as Monday, May 12.
- Work in this area will take place through approximately mid-July. Some weekend work is possible.
- Work hours: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Noisiest work will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
WHERE: Beach Drive Southwest between 63rd Avenue Southwest and 64th Avenue Southwest.
- Crews will begin work in the area at the east end of the block and move west.
- Please avoid parking along Beach Drive beginning Monday, May 12 to allow crews to work as efficiently as possible.
- Work will be restricted to the south side of Beach Drive Southwest for Monday and Tuesday, May 12 -13, with one lane available for local residents.
- As early as Tuesday, May 13, work will transition to the north side of Beach Drive Southwest.

- Residents along Beach Drive Southwest:
- Driveway access will be maintained, but coordination with our crews will be necessary during work hours.
- Residents along Beach Drive Southwest should plan ahead for minor delays as crews ensure entering and exiting driveways can be done safely.
- Notify the nearest crew member with your house number and they will work immediately to provide you access to your driveway or exit it.

There will be multiple periods of sidewalk closures associated with the roadwork noted above. As crews move around the work area, they will direct sidewalk users as necessary to either the north side or south side of Beach Drive Southwest.
There will be sidewalk detour signs to clearly communicate pedestrian routes.
