We have several grant opportunities that are available now and wanted to share them with you. Investing in our local non-profit organizations and supporting innovative ideas through funding is critical to help ensure each of our communities can thrive, now and into the future! The deadline for these grants is through April, so make sure you apply soon. Grant and Funding Sources
The following grant opportunities are listed in order of application due date, with the soonest deadline listed first. Any applications that have rolling deadlines are located towards the bottom of the list.
1. 4Culture Project Grants
Applications are due Wednesday, March 12 @ 5 p.m. Apply now at this link!
Details: King County’s 4Culture program is offering grants for Art, Heritage, and Special Historical Preservation projects. The Art Projects grant intends to support artists and art groups in creating new work, pursuing artistic opportunities, pay for materials, and other expenses. The Heritage Projects grant funds individuals and organizations working to document, share, and interpret King County heritage. The Preservation Special Projects grant funds research, documentation, education, and advocacy to promote the preservation of historic places in King County.

2. King County Public Health Community Cannabis, Commercial Tobacco, and Vaping Prevention Grant
Applications are due Wednesday, March 12 @ 2 p.m. Submit proposals to cpres-CDIP@kingcounty.gov!
Details: The purpose of the Community Change Grants is to fund new projects to reduce use of and harm from cannabis, commercial tobacco, and vapor products for youth ages 12-20 by changing influences on use and harm. During the award period, Public Health – Seattle & King County (PHSKC) will also provide technical assistance on prevention and harm reduction knowledge and skills.

3. King County Public Health Supporting Street Food Vendors in Becoming Permitted
Applications are due Friday, March 21 @ 2 p.m. Submit proposals to cpres-EHS@kingcounty.gov!
Details: This grant will provide grant funding to community-based organizations to conduct outreach as Community Liaisons to unpermitted street food vendors (food trucks, carts, trailers, pop-ups, tents, booths) and support them in navigating the process of obtaining a permit to operate.

4. 4Culture Building for Equity: Facilities
Organizations must contact 4Culture staff by Tuesday, March 25 to complete an eligibility pre-screening. Applications are due Thursday, April 17 @ 5 p.m. Apply now at this link!
Details: This grant provides funding for building, remodeling, and buying specialized space that houses and facilitates culture, science, and technology-based experiences in King County. Approximately $4.7 million is available in the funding pool for this cycle.

5. King County Parks Levy Grants

Details: The purpose of these grants is to take care of King County’s existing system of parks and trails, grow and connect regional open space and natural lands to protect critical habitats, and make parks, green spaces, and recreation opportunities more accessible for all King County residents to enjoy. King County Parks is currently accepting applications for these grants:
- Aquatic Facilities
- Parks Capital and Open Space
- Open Space – River Corridors
- Healthy Communities and Parks

6. ARTSWA General Operating Support for Midsized Organizations
Applications are due Monday, April 7 @ 5 pm. Apply now at this link!
Details: General Operating Support for Midsized Organizations offers two-year funding to arts, heritage, and culture organizations for general operating expenses. These small two-year grants support organizations in providing public arts and culture experiences. Applicants can request up to $6,000 split across two years.

7. ARTSWA General Operating Support for Large Organizations
Applications are due Monday, April 7 @ 5 pm. Apply now at this link!
Details: This grant offers two-year funding to support the day-to-day costs of arts organizations in their work of providing creative experiences with and for the people of Washington state. Applicants can request $6,000 for general operating expenses. Funds are distributed in equal portions over two years. Payments are made after expenses are incurred, normally at the end of your operating year.

8. U.S. Department of Agriculture Value-Added Producer Grants
Applications are due Thursday, April 17 @ 11:59 p.m. EST. Apply now at this link!
Details: The Value-Added Producer Grant (VAPG) program helps agricultural producers conduct activities to generate new products, create and expand marketing opportunities, and increase producer income. You may receive priority if you are a:
- Beginning farmer or rancher.
- Veteran farmer or rancher.
- Socially-disadvantaged farmer or rancher.
- Small or medium-sized farm and ranch structured as a family farm.
- Farmer or rancher cooperative.
The maximum grant amount is $75,000 for planning grants and $250,000 for working capital grants.

9. Washington State Department of Commerce Child Care Partnership Grant Program
Applications are due Thursday, April 17 @ 11:59 p.m. Apply now at this link!
Details: The Washington State Department of Commerce is offering one-year grants to help local communities assess child care needs and develop actionable plans to increase child care availability statewide. The grant can help communities prepare to apply for future funds to address child care and early learning construction projects. The grant funding period will be from July 2025 to June 2026. The maximum award available is $70,000.

10. King Conservation District Seed Money Grants
Rolling applications until Tuesday, September 30, 2025 or until funds are exhausted. Apply now at this link!
Details: Seed Money Grants support the creation of new community agriculture projects and help sustain existing projects. In turn, this promotes resilient food systems and communities and safeguards food sovereignty. Up to $3,500 in funding is available. Examples of eligible projects:
- Composting systems
- Micro (drip) irrigation
- Rainwater catchment
- Fruit tree/shrub plantings
- Native plantings
- Invasive species removal/weed control
