Temporary waterline installation nearing completion at Interbay Pump Station
As part of ongoing construction near the Interbay Pump Station, crews are finalizing the installation and testing of a new temporary 12-inch waterline to carry fresh water. The temporary waterline restraint has already been poured, and Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) plans to be on-site on March 25th to tie-in the temporary line.
The purpose of the temporary waterline bypass pipe is to carry fresh water while crews work to relocate and install a new permanent water main.
SPU reports that they will give customers at least five days' advance notice before any potential water outage affecting them.
