Heathfield Pump Station Update

Feb. 11, 2025 Update

King County Wastewater Treatment Division (WTD) is contacting you to provide an update on the Heathfield Pump Station. You may unsubscribe from these emails at any time.

Maintenance hole inspection planned at the Heathfield Pump Station on Wednesday, Feb. 12

Starting at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, February 12, WTD crews will use a vactor truck to clear out and inspect a maintenance hole at the Heathfield Pump Station.

Crews will use a specialized truck that works like a vacuum cleaner to remove materials from the inspection site. Sucking the materials into the truck can be noisy. Materials collected by the truck will be transported for safe disposal. We do not anticipate any service disruptions during this work.

What to expect:

  • Work to begin around 8 a.m.
    • Work will take approximately 5 hours to complete.
  • Work will create intermittent and ongoing increased noise and vibration.
  • County vehicles will travel to and from the pump station property.
  • For your safety and the safety of our workers, please do not approach the crews while they are working. If you have any questions, the Community Services lead will be onsite near the driveway of the pump station.
