PSE electrical work at intersection of SE 35th Place and E Mercer Way on January 23
Intersection open; Police to direct traffic
On Thursday, January 23, Puget Sound Energy (PSE) crews will be working near the intersection of Southeast 35th Place and East Mercer Way to energize one of the odor control structures of the North Mercer Island/Enatai Sewer Upgrade Project. PSE plans to arrive in the morning and expects work to take a few hours to complete.
The intersection will remain open, but PSE will need to turn off the traffic lights to complete this work. A police officer will be directing traffic through the intersection.

What to expect:
- Permitted work hours are 7am to 7pm.
- Intersection lights will be turned off during work. Police will direct traffic during this time.
- All work will be performed in the public right-of-way.
- Expect noise, dust, and vibrations typical of an active construction project.
- Emergency vehicle access will be maintained.
- Garbage, recycling, composting, and mail service will be maintained.
