As we kick off the new year, I want to take a moment to reflect on how truly grateful I am for the opportunity to serve District 8 as your Councilmember. Your trust in me and my team, along with your ongoing contributions to our community, continue to inspire me each and every day.
Please be reminded that Council officially returned from recess yesterday, so my team and I are swiftly catching up. I’m excited to resume our work together in the year ahead and continue making strides for our district.
Wishing you all a bright and prosperous start to 2025. I am forever grateful for your unwavering support and dedication to our shared community on the King County Council. I look forward to what we can accomplish together in 2025!
The first Teresa Tuesday newsletter of 2025 includes the Year in Review mailer that was sent to households around District 8 recently. This includes various links and summaries to budget investments and policy accomplishments, along with a snapshot of the numerous District 8 Days community visits. Thanks again for making 2024 a successful first year on King County Council. If you didn’t get it in the mail, but would like to receive future mail from us, please let us know.

Our first Board of Health meeting is scheduled for January 16th at 1:00 PM, followed by our first Health and Human Services Committee meeting on February 4th at 9:30 AM. Additionally, as we move into the new year, a new King County Council Chair will be selected, and we’ll also be making appointments for the 2025 Committee Chairs and Membership. Rest assured, we will keep the community informed of these updates.
As always, my incredible team – Erin, Chris, Melanie, Kamilah, Marilyn – and I are here and ready to assist you.
Thank you for signing up for the #TeresaTuesday Newsletter. We will send you regular updates every other week. If you’d like to reach out or have an issue we can help with, please reach out anytime.
Thank you for allowing us to represent you on the King County Council!
