Construction work beginning near the Interbay Pump Station
Expect to see crews and construction vehicles as early as November 18
Starting as early as Monday, November 18, crews will begin preparing the area around the Interbay Pump Station near West Garfield Street for the installation of the temporary bypass pipe. This pipe will carry sewage while the current pipe is being upgraded. This work is expected to last through the end of the year.
During this work crews will:
- Locate buried utilities.
- Remove and reinstall security fencing around the Interbay Pump Station under the South side of the Magnolia Bridge.
- Raise maintenance holes to connect to the temporary pipe.

Road Closure: We plan to temporarily close a section of West Garfield Street to allow crews to complete work safely.

Parking Impacts: Parking availability may be limited during this work. Please note that access to dumpsters will remain open for businesses and delivery access will be maintained.

Equipment and Service Vehicles: Expect construction vehicles and service trucks in the area.

Approved work hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Thursday.
- We will provide advance notice of any weekend or after-hours work.

Noise, dust, and vibrations typical of an active construction project.
- Construction schedules can change due to site conditions, weather, and material availability. Please check our project website for updates.
During construction, access will be maintained for all emergency vehicles, garbage, recycling, composting, and mail services. If services are interrupted, please call the project hotline at 425-595-3452.
Please watch for equipment and crews in the area, maintain slow speeds to stay safe, and follow directions from crews.
