King County Parks is exploring a project proposed by Northwest Disc Golf Association for an 18-hole backcountry style disc golf course in the forested area of Petrovitsky Park.
At this stage in the project, King County Parks is evaluating the opinion of the surrounding community on this proposal. If the proposal is approved, the next phase of engagement would involve environmental analysis and gathering feedback from the community to determine specific design options.
Share your thoughts by taking a short, 5 question survey by November 22. The results will be used to determine if this proposal moves forward or not.
Residents of five urban unincorporated areas in King County, including Fairwood and East Renton, can vote this month to choose proposals that will receive county funding to improve their communities.
This is the county’s second round of Participatory Budgeting, a two-year, community-led process in which residents gather ideas from their neighbors, create proposals from those ideas, and hold a vote to decide which proposals to pay for with county funds.
From now through Oct. 31, anyone who lives, works, owns a business, receives services, goes to school, or worships in one of these five unincorporated areas is encouraged to cast their vote either in-person or online. Find more information on how to vote here.
