WHO MAY APPLY: This Civil Service position is open to the public. This recruitment will create an eligibility list that will be used to fill future vacancies (in the same classification) for the next 12 months.

NOTE: This position requires passing a technical exam that will be proctored in Renton, WA, only. No out-of-area proctoring of the test will be conducted.
The responsibilities of this classification include processing, identifying, collecting, and comparing latent prints in connection with the investigation of crimes, collecting potential DNA specimens from evidence items, preparing, and presenting evidence for judicial proceedings, and serving as a technical expert in court on all phases of latent print identification. The physical requirements of the position may include: bending, lifting, kneeling, crawling and standing for extended periods of time while processing crime scenes, as well as, working in confined and enclosed spaces.
