Your Weekly Update on What's Happening at the King County Council

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

This week, I was pleased to announce that two wonderful organizations in District 9 have been awarded Healthy Communities and Parks grants: Ayeko Farm in Enumclaw and Bicycle Rescue for Youth in Ravensdale!

Ayeko Farm is receiving a $15,000 grant to support its Enumclaw Youth Conservation Internship that gives students the opportunity to learn about sustainable farming and conservation practices in a hands-on format while spending time outdoors and working with the land.

Bicycle Rescue for Youth is receiving a $9,900 grant to bolster their important work helping more low-income kids in South King County experience both the joy and the physical benefits of bicycling. With this funding, they'll be able to provide 150 bicycles and helmets as well as essential bike safety education.

I am proud to support funding for both of these organizations that provide valuable opportunities to residents in our district! My staff and I are always here to help if your organization is looking for funding opportunities from King County. Please reach out to me at reagan.dunn@kingcounty.gov if you are interested in learning more about potential grant programs you may be eligible for.

All my best,

Councilmember Reagan Dunn Signature
