King County Elections to Begin Hand Recount Monday 

King County Elections will begin hand recounting the Commissioner of Public Lands contest on Monday, August 26 at 8:30 a.m. at Elections Headquarters in Renton.  

On September 3 at 8:30 a.m., King County Elections will begin the hand recount for two tied Democratic Precinct Committee Officer positions (SEA 46-1370 and SHL 32-0474). 

All recount activities will take place at Elections Headquarters in Renton. Final recount results are expected be certified on September 4 at 11:30 a.m.  

Observers from both major political parties, the campaigns, and non-partisan observers have been invited to attend. In addition, Elections’ livestreaming webcams will be available on our website until the recount is certified. The certification meeting will take place virtually and will be livestreamed on the King County Elections Facebook page
