Regional Animal Services reduces all pet adoption fees during "Clear The Shelters" event, August 10 through September 10
Regional Animal Services of King County (RASKC) is joining with hundreds of other animal shelters nationwide in the "Clear The Shelters" initiative. During this special event, which runs from August 10 through September 10, RASKC will reduce adoption fees on all pets. The fee to adopt a cat or dog is just $30, the cost of a pet license.
"Adopting a pet from RASKC is always a great value, and during the 'Clear The Shelters' campaign it's even better," said RASKC Manager Dr. Gene Mueller. "No matter if you're looking for a dog, cat, rabbit, guinea pig, or other companion, our goal is always to match great pets with great homes."
Clear The Shelters is sponsored by NBCUniversal Local and Telemundo, in partnership with Hill's Pet Nutrition and Greater Good Charities. The initiative, now in its tenth year, promotes pet adoptions and helps raise funds for participating shelters and rescues across the nation. In 2023, more than 158,000 pets were adopted during the campaign. In total, more than one million pets have found new homes thanks to Clear The Shelters.
The King County Pet Adoption Center is located at 21615 64th Ave. S. in Kent. Adoption hours are noon to 5 p.m. weekdays and noon to 4 p.m. weekends. Profiles of all the adoptable pets available at RASKC are posted online at kingcounty.gov/AdoptAPet.
