Hello, and happy August from the King County On-Site Sewage System (OSS) Program! We are almost at the end of our initial public comment gathering phase of the code revision process, and we still want to hear from you! We have one more public meeting on Aug. 8, and our code revision survey is open through Aug. 15. You can find more information about both, as well as possible code revisions, on our code revision website.
Later this month, we'll review the public comments and create proposed revisions to local OSS codes (King County Board of Health Title 13 - On-site Sewage). This fall, we'll share the proposed changes with the public for further comment and input before the proposals are brought to the King County Board of Health for their vote.
We have a shorter newsletter this month, focusing on the remaining engagement opportunities. We'll be back in September with more information about the next steps. Again, a huge thank you to everyone who has been part of this process so far. And, as always, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Sincerely,
Lynn Schneider, RS | OSS Program Supervisor 206.477.2124 | lynn.schneider@kingcounty.gov

You still have two weeks to take our code revision survey! Your responses are valuable sources of information, helping us move forward with more equitable and practical changes to the codes. The survey asks your feedback on specific proposed code revisions and takes about 10 minutes to complete.
Our last public meeting is a virtual meeting next Thursday, Aug. 8, at 5 p.m. It's for everyone who lives, works, and/or plays in King County. We encourage anyone interested to attend, and you can register through the link below! You can also read through possible code revisions on our website.
