Your Weekly Update on What's Happening at the King County Council

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

This week, I had the honor of crowning the 2024 King Critter at the King County Fair. Congratulations to the winning critter, Rooster the goat and owner Ariann Blakely, as well as the first runner-up Thistle Down the duck owned by Pera Cullens and 3rd place critter Jill the rabbit owned by Kira Tucker!

Now in its 161st year, the King County Fair is the oldest fair west of the Mississippi. Visiting the Fair is one of my favorite summer traditions, and I am pleased to have supported it for many years through my work at the Council. I highly recommend you take a trip down to Enumclaw this weekend to explore all that the Fair has to offer!

The King County Fair is open this weekend from 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. on Friday, July 12 and Saturday, July 13, and 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 14. It features numerous attractions including 4-H & FFA exhibits, carnival rides, pig races, kid tractor pulls, chainsaw carving, free musical entertainment, shopping vendors, and a variety of food vendors. There’s something for everyone at every age at the Fair! Find more information on entertainment, exhibits, and vendors at the King County Fair website.

Enjoy the sunny weekend!

All my best,

Councilmember Reagan Dunn Signature
