King County M Street Trunk Rehabilitation Project

M Street Trunk Rehabilitation project masthead

Survey work for M Street Trunk Rehabilitation Project starts this week

Starting as early as June 25, crews will spend up to five business days surveying the existing conditions around the M Street Trunk Sewer Line (see map below). Surveying activities will include measuring utility holes, water lines and other underground utilities. This work will help inform the design of the M Street Trunk Rehabilitation Project.

What you can expect

  • Work will be performed in the public right-of-way.
  • Work hours 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on business days between June 25 and July 1.
  • All roads, including Main Street, will remain open to traffic.

About the project

The M Street Trunk Rehabilitation Project will repair approximately 2.6 miles of reinforced concrete pipe that has more than 100 side sewer connections to nearby properties. The project will also rehabilitate 45 precast maintenance holes.

This pipe serves a densely populated area with many schools, homes, and businesses in the City of Auburn. During construction for the project, there will be impacts to traffic, including detours, temporary lane closures, and bus stops. We will work with the community to limit these disruptions and will share information about any impacts before they occur.
