King County Metro Transit’s Power & Facilities Division has an exciting opportunity for multiple Journey Electricians (also known as Electrician Constructors). This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment, power distribution systems, high voltage trolley overhead systems, transit radio and wireless communication systems, fire/life safety systems, and security systems including CCTV. 


Our team of Journey Electricians plays a vital role as Metro Transit transitions to a 100% zero-emissions fleet, powered by renewable energy, with a target completion date in 2035. Join the team in making a significant positive impact within our community and for our environment, and work on projects such as building new or retrofitted bus bases with charging stations to accommodate a new fleet of 270 electric buses.


This recruitment will immediately fill up to two (2) Career Service positions and may also be used to establish an eligibility pool to fill future Career Service, as well as any fully-benefited Term-Limited Temporary and/or Special Duty Assignment, vacancies that may occur over the next twelve (12) months, at the discretion of the hiring authority.


Interviews are currently anticipated to occur from Monday, July 15, through Friday, July 19, 2024,
 but dates are subject to change.
