***This opportunity is a Special Duty Assignment (SDA) open to current Career Service King County employees who have completed their initial probation ONLY. This SDA is anticipated to end December 31, 2025.
The Department of Human Resources (DHR) seeks an experienced and passionate individual to serve as the Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (EIB) Manager II. This position will ensure equity and social justice (ESJ) initiatives within DHR are aligned and integrated with King County’s ESJ Strategic goals and approaches.
Reporting to the Workforce Equity Manager, the EIB Manager II will help lead the development and implementation of DHR’s ESJ efforts to drive organizational change. The EIB Manager II will work with department leadership and the Office of Equity, Racial and Social Justice (OERSJ) to develop strategic direction, identify and implement ESJ initiatives, and ensure goal attainment, internally and to the agencies DHR serves. They will also lead and guide efforts to center pro-equity and anti-racism in all actions and help build pro-equity capacity at all levels.
