Single lane traffic near Fruitland Landing starting as early as May 28
Investigation work on 96th Ave S.E. and pipe installation on 97th Ave S.E.

Maintenance hole investigation
Starting as early as May 28, crews will be working in a maintenance hole on 96th Avenue Southeast near the intersection with Southeast 35th Street. Flaggers will be on site to direct traffic during this work.
Pipe installation
Starting as early as June 3, crews will begin installing a new pipe using the open cut construction method on 97th Avenue Southeast south of Southeast 34th Street. Crews plan to work south to north. This work is expected to take up to three weeks. Flaggers will be on site to direct single-lane traffic. Driveway access will be maintained. This new pipe will connect to the existing pipe that is being relined on the north end of 97th Ave. S.E. and the pipe being installed on the south end of 97th Ave. S.E.

Pipe installation will take place on 97th Ave S.E. south of S.E. 34th St. Access to homes will be maintained during construction. Expect single lane traffic during work hours.

What to expect:
- Approved work hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Saturday.
- Flaggers will direct single-lane, alternating traffic through the work areas.
- Some homes may be subject to temporary driveway access interruptions.
- Access to residences should always be maintained during construction. Crews will lay metal plates over excavations to restore access as needed.
- It may take crews up to 15 minutes to set up a safe surface for you to cross.
- Roads will be restored to two-way traffic after work hours.
- Fruitland Landing closed to the public during construction for approximately four months.
- Noise, dust, and vibrations typical of an active construction project.
- Emergency vehicle access will be maintained.
- Garbage, recycling, composting, mail, and delivery service will be maintained.
