King County, Washington sent this bulletin at 05/20/2024 11:45 AM PDTPublic Health – Seattle & King County’s Health Sciences – Cannabis, Tobacco, and Vapor Prevention Program (CTV) is seeking highly qualified individuals to fill three (3) career service Project/Program Manager II (PPM2) positions. These positions will manage projects and grants that aim to increase the opportunities young people have to develop skills, form relationships, and enhance environments that can protect them from potential harms from cannabis, vapor and tobacco use as well as decrease young people’s exposure to risk factors for use.
Specifically, these positions will help the CTV Program in tailoring our efforts by engaging with young people, schools, and community-based organizations to co-design and lead projects. All three positions will provide project management and grant oversite as well as technical assistance to schools, and youth serving organizations. These positions will also provide support for the development and implementation of prevention and cessation projects throughout King County.

Background
Public Health-Seattle King County (PHSKC) is the metropolitan health department serving all of King County. The mission of PHSKC is to eliminate health inequities and maximize opportunities for every person to achieve optimal health. These positions are based in the Cannabis, Tobacco, and Vaping (CTV) Prevention Program within the Chronic Disease and Injury Prevention (CDIP) Section of PHSKC.

Work Schedule
This position typically works 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week anytime between 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position is subject to the Fair Labor Standards Act and is overtime eligible.
Work Location
This position is hybrid with a combination of primarily home-based telework with at least monthly onsite work at the Chinook Building located at 401 Fifth Ave. Seattle, WA 98104.
Teleworking:
Some of the work associated with this position will be performed through teleworking, and will report to office location and to meetings as needed. Travel to other work locations may be necessary. Employees will have access to shared workspaces at various King County facilities. Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.
Employees will be provided with a County issued laptop and must maintain a workspace with an internet connection where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours. To support employees during this time King County has a robust collection of tools and resources to support working remotely. The individual selected for this opportunity will be joining an innovative and progressive team.
